Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp is one of the most talked about series of the current season. The eight-episode series made its debut on Netflix in late July and is actually a prequel to the 2001 movie of the same name. As is common with Netflix shows, all the episodes of the series were made available for streaming at one go so subscribers can watch the entire series without having to wait to see their favorite characters in action.

What To Expect From Wet Hot American Summer?

Netflix has managed to exceed even the most loftiest expectations with the TV version of Wet Hot American Summer. Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler who were in the movie are all set to return to reprise their roles. Like its movie counterpart, the series focuses on outrageous gags and parody as well as the dangers faced by summertime campers. When a toxic pool of sludge threatens their summertime fun, the campers must face the danger and deal with the threat in their own unique and hilarious ways.

How To Watch The Show Online?

The show is available for streaming. However, you must bear in mind that the above link works only from within US; everyone else will come across the “Sorry,-Netflix-is-not-available-in-your-country-yet” message instead of the Wet Hot American Summer homepage. Like other content providers, Netflix has tied the series to American IP addresses. This means even if you are based in a country where Netflix is officially available (United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Australia etc.), you won’t be able to stream the series because your non-US IP address would be automatically blocked by Netflix’s filters.

Is There A Way To Watch Wet Hot American Summer Online From Outside US?

If you are eager to watch the show but can’t do so because of your current location, I have some good news for you. Since the entire content-blocking centers around IP addresses, you can bypass GEO-IP restrictions by switching to American IPs. While using proxies is a cheaper IP changing solution, I do not recommend using them because they are not capable of delivering speeds required for HD streaming. Instead, I recommend that you subscribe to a reliable VPN or SmartDNS service to unblock Netflix (as well as several other streaming services). Here are the steps needed to unblock Wet Hot American Summer with a VPN or SmartDNS:

Step 1) Subscribe to a reliable VPN service that allows you to virtually reside in United States. Here are some recommended services: ExpressVPNHideMyAssIPVanishVyprVPN, proXPNOverplayStrongVPN, PureVPNPrivate Internet AccessVPNSecureVPN.ac, and Unblock-US

Step 2) Follow the setup instructions to configure the service on a device of your choice. Most renowned VPN providers offer a proprietary VPN client but SmartDNS services often require manual configuration. If you want to setup the service on a mobile device, be prepared to tinker with some network settings.

Step 3) Save the configuration changes and restart the machine if necessary. You must also remember to restart the browser and Netflix app (especially on mobile devices) before trying to access the show.

Step 4) Test drive the service by clicking on the VPN icon or by navigating to the Network Settings area.

Step 5) Once the connection is established, check your new IP address. Depending on the default server of your VPN server provider, you may have to switch to an American server manually after establishing a connection. Most VPN providers have servers at multiple locations so it is essential to verify that you are indeed connected to an American VPN server and have a US IP address.

Step 6) Open the default homepage of Wet Hot American Summer in a browser or via the Netflix app. If you still cannot watch the series episodes, remember to clear the cookies as well as the previous settings by closing and restarting the app. You are now ready to enjoy the series from any part of the world.
